Holy guacamole! Skippyjon Jones is crazy-loco for dinosaurs! The kitty boy enters (via his closet) the land of dinosaurs in search of the fabled Skipposaurus. Instead he runs into his old amigos, the Chimichango gang. When a T-Mex threatens the pack, it’s El Skippito, the great sword fighter, to the rescue. With yips and yowls, he drives the big baddie away, so all the dino-dudes can rattle their bones another day. This fourth entry in a series that Kirkus Reviews called “ay caramba, mucho fun,” will win even more fans for the Siamese cat with oversize ears and an imagination to match.

Both fans who already know this series and first-time listeners will want to have a printed copy of this book available while listening. The illustrations and the changing text fonts enhance the imaginative wordplay that makes it so much fun. In the guise of a brave chihuahua, Skippyjon is actually a Siamese kitten who has adventures in his closet with his fantasy amigos, the Chimichangas. Robert Ramirez gives a spirited delivery of the rhyming chants and silly names in this tale of Skippyjon's obsession with dinosaurs. Ramirez's delivery of Spanish-accented voices, sound effects, and occasional Spanish words sets the tone and builds suspense. Although no book is included, there are both silent and page-turn tracks.
