New York Times bestselling author Lorraine Heath pens another richly satisfying romance in her Sins for all Seasons series.
She's looking for a nobleman to wed...

Though born out of wedlock, Fancy Trewlove is determined to fulfill her mother's wish that she marry into nobility. Fancy's keen intellect and finishing school manners make her the perfect wife for any gentleman—if he's willing to overlook her scandalous lineage. But Fancy's plans are thrown into chaos when an intriguing commoner begins visiting her bookshop—and she finds herself unable to stop thinking about him.

He's looking to escape his title...

Widowed just a year ago, the reclusive Matthew Sommersby, Earl of Rosemont, has been besieged by women hoping to become his next wife. Desperate for anonymity, he sheds Society life to search for the peace that eludes him. Fancy's shop is his one refuge, until the night their passion erupts into a kiss that nearly leads to her ruin—and leaves both longing for much more.

Together, they discover an unlikely love...

As Fancy finds herself torn between her family's expectations and her growing feelings for Matthew, secrets are exposed—secrets that force Fancy to question if she can trust her heart's desire...

Heath returns to form with the charming fifth Sin for All Seasons novel (after A Duchess in his Bed). Independent but starry-eyed, Fancy Trewlove dreams of falling in love with a lord who will allow her to maintain her bookstore and stay close with her family. Her belief that she can have it all is partially inspired by a newspaper article singing the praises of Matthew Sommersby, Earl of Rosemont, written by his late wife just before she died in hopes of ensuring her husband’s future happiness with a second wife. The article spurs many hopeful young ladies to come calling, driving the still grieving Matthew to flee his mansion to hide out in a humble home near Fancy’s bookshop, which he soon frequents. Believing Matthew to be a commoner, Fancy initially fights her attraction to him, but soon the pair grow close. Somewhat unbelievably for Victorian London, Fancy lives alone, leaving ample opportunity for her and Matthew to have unchaperoned time together. Fancy and Matthew’s path to a happy ending is fairly unremarkable, but their palpable connection will satisfy series fans. Agent: Robin Rue, Writers House.

Bookshop owner and hopeless romantic Fancy Trewlove would like nothing better than to meet the elusive Earl of Rosemont, whose husbandly virtues were extolled in a letter written to the Times by his late wife Elise, but the only eligible man in Fanny's life at the moment is her new customer, Matthew Sommersby, a commoner. While book-loving Matthew is not without charm, Fanny knows her family would be devastated if she didn't follow through with their long-held wishes for her to wed a nobleman. But if Fancy could write the ending to her own happily ever after, which man would she chose? Rosemont or Matthew? Heath (The Scoundrel in Her Bed, 2019) so consistently produces works of excellence, a reader might miss just what a significant achievement this is, but be assured, the fifth superbly rendered addition to RITA Award-winning Heath's Sins for All Seasons series is new proof of her gift for transforming insightful characterization, solid storytelling, boundless passion, and bold sensuality into sigh-worthy romances.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2020, American Library Association.)
