The star of Pinkalicious and its sequels makes her way into board books, giving readers an A to Z tour of sweets (cupcakes, lollipops), fantasy creatures (a dragon and unicorn), and everyday activities like taking bubble baths and riding the school bus. Some of the details in Kann’s digitally assembled illustrations are unexpectedly lovely (sheet music lends texture to the grass on the “J is for Jump Rope” page) while others are less successful (a gingerbread house is unfortunately low-res). Still, it’s a winsome introduction to this picture book heroine and her sugary world. Available simultaneously: Pinkalicious 123. Up to age 4.
